Приемный клапан: особенности конструкции, применение и назначение

The intake valve or suction, as it is also called, is a device for closing pipes. This allows you to fill the suction line with liquid before starting up. The valve has a mesh that allows you to prevent all kinds of large particles and floating objects in the water from entering the pump.

The valves are made in different sizes. In diameter, they can be from 50 to 600 millimeters. The material of manufacture is always cast iron (gray).

The device must be installed at the bottom of the pipeline, that is, at its end. The distance from the bottom of the tank to the installation site of the suction mechanism must be maintained at least 200 millimeters. It is important to comply with this requirement in order to avoid the intake of settled water and precipitation into the pipe. The valve of the described type is often used in wells. Installation is allowed only in pumps that are located above the liquid level.

The main purpose of such valves is to prevent the reverse flow of water into the direct current. Its use allows you to fill the pumping equipment at the beginning of their work. In simple words, the valve holds the liquid, both when filling (when starting the pump) and when stopping the pump.

Important! The suction mechanism has the property of creating a large resistance to the passage of water. In this regard, it is not necessary to install it when it is necessary to raise the water to a greater height. The same applies to pumping liquids with high viscosity.

Device Design Features

The design of the suction element includes the following parts:

  • Body. A steel saddle is screwed into it. For better fixing in the device body, a special gasket is used;
  • Steel saddle. There is a hole in the center of this part. It is closed to ensure complete sealing of the valve;
  • Welded wire mesh. This part of the device is welded to the seat. The grid consists of 2 parts – the shell and the bottom.

The device also contains in its design a shear pin, a ball, a pressure ring, a cuff and nuts.

Where the intake valve is used

There are several areas where these devices are widely in demand. The PK-50 and PK-100 valves manufactured by JSC OZNO have found their application in the oil industry, as well as in the gas industry. In addition, the suction structures are actively used in the installation of air conditioners KD-40, KD-60, KD-80 and downhole equipment. When installing the valves at the time of installation of air conditioners, simple steps are performed. The structure is delivered assembled to the installation site. Next, it remains only to install the valve in the right place and connect it to the subsequent section. At the place of its installation, it is also necessary to install the valve actuator and connect it to the rods.

Despite the fact that the valves are applicable in different areas, the main one is still the oil and gas sector. These devices are specially designed for installation on the intake pipes of cylindrical tanks located underground. As a rule, these are gas stations and oil depots.

It is worth noting that such valves have significant hydraulic resistance. In this regard, they are installed only in small pumping units. As a rule, the diameter of the pipe is not more than 300 mm.

The intake valves are reliable designs. However, in the course of operation, sometimes problems are created. The main drawback of the suction pipeline, in which the intake valve is installed, is the clogging of the device with objects and suspensions floating in the liquid. The valve periodically requires cleaning and creates excessive hydraulic resistance during suction. Several mounting methods can be used to attach the device to the pipeline. Possible connection methods: threaded, flanged, welded, etc.

If the valve is closed hermetically, the pump used with it will always be in a liquid-filled state.

The main advantages of receiving valves are considered to be high tightness, low probability of wear of seals, prevention of accidents in industrial pipelines.
